• Provide assistance in the implementation of risk based internal audit plans of assigned function in line with Internal Audit vision & strategy and ensuring effective delivery of annual internal audit plans.
• Establish effective audit testing procedure across assigned audit task and identifies controls weaknesses and key risks; evaluates the adequacy of the controls designed to manage those risks; discusses the strengths and opportunities for improvement with relevant management and develops recommendations for improvement.
• Provides information and sound recommendations to management, prepares written reports and works with management to obtain agreement on action plans to address the identified audit issues and weaknesses.
• Establish ongoing and effective liaison with head of departments on a regular basis to deliver audit coverage and provide updates on audit activities/findings.
• Applies data collection, data mining, data analysis and statistical techniques
• Participates in Treasury /Credit facilities audit assignments and has the ability to analysis /evaluate the quality of the credit portfolio for corporate department.
• Assess credit risk and ensure adherence to bank’s policies and procedures
• Report potential overruns and ensure timely performance feedback to senior management and concerned functions.
• Demonstrable team management experience and ability to establish clear, realistic timelines for goal accomplishments.
• Maintains a continuous update of the latest global developments, regulatory and legal requirements, assesses the relevance to the audit engagements and legal framework within which the organization operate.
• Selects and uses a variety of manual and automated tools and techniques to obtain data and other information on business process.
• Uses critical thinking to identify, exercises professional skepticism and propose tactics for business process improvement.
