Assistant Fund Accountant

A growing Financial Services business based in the City is recruiting for a number of Part Qualified to Finalist level Assistant Accountants to work on private equity and real estate investment funds.

Description

Working in a busy finance team, your duties will include:

• Producing trial balances, balance sheet reconciliations and P&Ls for private equity and real estate investment funds
• Responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements with Disclosures
• Ad-hoc financial information for clients
• Preparation and delivery of administrative tasks required by our Clients (for example fund drawdowns and distributions) and of investor communications
• Take ownership and respond Client/Investor queries
• Communicate and build relationships with individuals at senior levels within the organisation
• Contribute ideas to improve processes to either gain efficiencies or reduce risk
• Oversee processing of financial information of junior team members and provide on the job training

Profile

• You will ideally be degree educated and / or have strong A Levels.
• You should be actively studying towards your ACCA or ACA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong accounts preparation and technical ability is essential - candidates with experience of working within practice will be particularly of interest.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines essential.
