A exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a leading organisation based in Central Bristol.

The business are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join the busy team in Bristol City centre. You will play a key role in the decision making across all revenue and sales channels and engage and influence stakeholders. Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review quality and relevance of sales analysis and reporting
  • Work with sales Finance manager to scope and deliver changes required to sales reporting suite
  • Review sales performance data across the customer sales journey and identify areas of under performance
  • Trends in performance data between markets
  • Assist on price-setting annually by working with the teams to identify the optimised pricing strategy objectives, maximise annual revenue and support asset valuations
  • Produce weekly sales performance inference and action reports to guide Operations teams in terms of performance improvement
  • Develop processes to continuously improve quality and relevance of reporting
  • Produce KPI reports and provide relevant and insightful commentary for monthly Sales Performance meeting
  • Work with Operations Finance Managers to support forecast and budget setting based upon performance and trends
  • Utilise the Revenue Management tool to monitor performance against target to identify risks. Review stretch prices, sell-out targets and price ladders to optimise income
  • Reconcile all changes to the proposition within Revenue Management to be able to justify the current out-turn against proposition
  • Track and analyse the weekly and monthly analysis of sales vs forecast (target), to include forward forecast assumptions (based on historic trends and current competitive landscape).
  • Highlight in conjunction with SMC's the opportunities, threats and recommendations for local markets with regard to movements in price
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of other areas of the business, and activities of our competitors; keep up to date with trends and developments within own professional area
  • Complete ad hoc sales performance analysis and scenario planning as required
  • Profile

    The right Commercial Finance Analyst will be:

    • A Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
    • Experience of managing the delivery of management information to business users in a format which focuses attention on the key performance matters
    • Experience of specifying and implementing new reporting frameworks
    • Excellent spreadsheet skills with experience of data modelling/manipulating large sets of data
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the proven ability to engage with stakeholders
    • Evident capacity to acquire and apply new skills and learning
    • Highly skilled in understanding, empathising and delivering against customer needs
    • Possesses and promotes a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt swiftly and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks
    • Results-focused with the ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
