A highly successful, specialist accountancy practice based in central Bristol specialising in providing limited company solutions to SME's and OMB's is looking to recruit an Accounts Manager into their team as a key addition, in a role overseeing a quality compliance service, managing internal teams and building relationships with your clients delivering added value services.
Client Details
Based in central Bristol, the firm acts for a large number of clients across limited company SME, OMB and contractor clients. You will be joining a team of three, fellow management level support working closely together and alongside the directors, as a key addition to this group, in a right hand support and managerial capacity. The business presents a forward thinking and more commercial environment, with a focus on personalised added value service where you will have encouragement to build relationships with your clients, working with the internal tax team and wider accounts directors to advise your clients on services that will benefit them, through tax savings/maximising earnings etc. This personal service is a key element of the firms ethos.
Description
Joining the Bristol office, as Accounts Manager, you will take on the management of a client portfolio numbering around 100 clients, wide ranging in size and complexity and oversee the provision of quality services to your clients, with a key part of your role building relationships with them, developing a rewarding role as a go-to, trusted advisor by your clients. You will review year end accounts, management accounts, corporation tax /VAT and other services prepared by a team of assistants and look to play a lead role in their development and support as well, with involvement in training and you are likely to enjoy a people management element to your role and responsibilities. Alongside this you will work with the wider team on delivering planning and advisory services to clients and equally enjoy and gain reward from building long term, close working relationships with your clients. You will have the genuine opportunity to carve a key position and pivotal role in this growing business.
Profile
You may be a qualified ACCA/ACA professional either recently qualified, or equally, with several years post qualified experience as the role and position can be moulded to some degree around the right persons level of experience and background. Alternatively you may be an experienced only professional and have built up your accounting experience down this route instead. Most importantly and as a necessity, you will have a background working within an accountancy practice environment, likely developed within any of a small, medium or larger independent firm/Top 50 firm background, with a strong technical, hands on background delivering services across any mix of accounts preparation, tax, VAT, payroll and all round accountancy firm services. You will have developed your career to Accounts Manager or similar levels with the demonstrable technical knowledge and competencies needed. Or equally, an experienced 'Senior' accountant with the demonstrable management skills, across both internal staff development and external client relationship building skills, looking to develop into this role could also work very well.
Job Offer
£30,000 - circa £38,000 or more, dependent on experience and background, negotiable, plus benefits.
