Technical Business Analyst position in central Cardiff – GBP30–52K depending on experience + benefits – Rapidly expanding technology organisation

An excellent job opportunity has arisen for a Technical Business Analyst to join one of the fastest growing organisations in Cardiff on a permanent basis. My client has ambitious growth plans for the next 12 months due to increased workload. This position is based at a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation that are responsible for developing high quality software products for an impressive global portfolio of clients.

The Technical Business Analyst will liaise closely with the software development team in addition to a range of internal stakeholders and external clients. The purpose of this position is to take responsibility for leading the requirements analysis, process design and product configuration activities for the organisation and their customers. You will consult directly with customers to analyse supply chain processes and tailor the product to meet the customer needs. You will be required to use your technical expertise to design and implement a tailored solution whist working with the project management team to ensure that quality and the demands of industry regulation are maintained in the delivered solution.

You will take responsibility for leading the process analysis, technical design and development activities for the delivery of solutions to customers. You will analyse the requirements across the supply chain, documenting requirements from users, customers and other key stakeholders. Working closely with the customer, you will advise them on the integration of the product to their existing processes then capture these requirements and liaise with the development team to ensure these needs are met. You will support the release of customer products from configuration stage through to quality and testing and then support user–facing training activities for the introduction of new products into customer environments. You will take on the role of a Product Owner for internal and external projects.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills / experience:

  • A solid background in business analysis or system analysis in a technical environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • If you hold a degree in a STEM subject (Computer Science / Software Development / Information Technology / Physics / Biology etc.) this would be an advantage although it is not essential
  • An understanding of software development concepts / programming (any understanding of Java and / or SQL would be an advantage)
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment and / or within an Agile methodology

You must be able to design the process flows using BPMN and be able to design the user interface flow, documentation, labelling, reports and data structures for the implementation.
