We have a large logistics company based in Co. Meath looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Management Accountant

With facilities across Ireland and the UK, our client serves a multitude of customers who operate in the Fast-Moving Consumable Goods sector.

Due to a period of rapid growth and expansion they are looking for a Financial Accounting & Treasury Manager to join their finance team, 40 in the department

Breakdown of role:
  • Reports in to the Finance Manager and responsible for preparing month end accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow
  • FP&A - preparation and completion of monthly management accounts monthly reporting pack with analysis of performance across the Group, highlighting any variances and trends
  • Provide financial analysis and margin reports on product ranges & customer groups
  • Preparation of support schedules and reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Ongoing margin analysis, root cause categorisation of variances
  • Stock and variance accounts analysis
  • Monthly GL and accounts reconciliation, preparation and processing monthly journals
  • Assisting senior management with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value (price, cost and process)
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to track KPI targets and to provide variance analysis

Suitable candidates should have the following:
  • Degree qualified with either an ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification with 2-3 years PQE, with a track record of experience in a commercial accounting or management accounting position
  • FMCG experience essential
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of financial and sales analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential
  • Ability to effectively communicate up, across and down the organisation across multiple disciplines including operations, field sales, promotional & marketing and commercial teams as well as externally with customers and principals
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
