Job Purpose Statement

A newly developed role reporting to the Head of Internal Audit based in Egham. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for supporting the Internal Audit function with risk based and compliance audits in accordance with the annual audit plan as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects. This role requires a proactive, confident and experienced auditor motivated by learning and development with the motivation to drive change.

Main Duties

Complete Compliance and Risk Audits across the UK. Assist in the production and distribution of the Company Risk Model as well as other reporting. Continued support of the new EPOS system roll-out including Stock Management and Reservations including addressing central processes.

Travelling – 50% of the role

Reporting – 30% of the role

Communication – 20% of the role

* Complete Compliance and Risk Audits across the UK

* Assist in the production and distribution of the Company Risk Model

* Assist in the production of monthly internal audit reporting to senior business managers in addition to adhoc reporting on business activity

* Assist in the production of Business Risk register costing the impact of non compliance on a monthly basis

* Assist with the remaining rollout of new EPOS system ECR. Stock Management, Reservations. Includes implementing, training and addressing central processes

* Ensure accurate reporting is being generated through the ECR system

* Review of F&B margin performance to identify villages that are underperforming. Focus visits to identify process improvements and drive margin performance. This will include current Stock Management processes

* Cash & Bank/ General Securities around Tills/ Till Sales/ Banking & Safe Processes – Reviewing processes plus transaction reports where potential for abuse could result in a loss to the business (Voids/ Refunds etc)

* Ensuring continued PCI DSS Compliance across the business (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards)

* Focus on club membership yield to identify under performing clubs and drive yield improvement in club memberships and across the business.

* Care Debtors – Continued review and management of the Care Debtors Reporting Pack identifying and investigating reasons behind debt levels and incorrect processes being followed on Coldharbour

* Utilities – Ensuring all owners are being charged correctly and consistently

* Non-core areas – Controls around all other income lines to drive compliance to standard processes and improve financial performance. Review of income and identification of potential control concerns requiring subsequent focus (Such as Guest/ Laundry/ Room Hire/ Maintenance/ Miscellaneous/ PT and Swim Income)

* Involvement in investigations and HR related activity

* Assisting in ensuring that the company’s standard operating procedures (manuals) are regularly updated and are relevant

Person specification

Essential

* Previous experience in internal auditing

* Proactive with the ability to work independently when required

* Collaborative attitude and good team player

* Ability to work under stressful situations and time pressures

* Good excel knowledge

* Strong analytical skills

* Full driving licence and own vehicle
