My client, a leading general insurer with over 50 years of experience in the Insurance industry, is currently looking for a Head of Finance to run their Finance department in Singapore.

Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with local GAAP within strict reporting deadlines
- Preparation of quarterly and annual MAS submissions
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts in line with requirements
- Completion of sub-ledger and bank reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Liaise with the accounting teams and Treasury to ensure accurate intercompany reporting and timely settlements
- Lead annual external audit
- Collaborate with actuary to implement IFRS 17
- Completion of quarterly and year end reporting exhibits to Head Office in line with timetable
- Involvement in tax returns and ensuring all information is submitted to the Tax
- Department on a timely and consistent basis
- Prepare quarterly Board of Directors' reporting exhibits and annual solvency request exhibits
Requirements
- Minimally 8 years of experience in leading a finance team within the Insurance industry
- Strong senior stakeholder management
- Proficiency in the Bahasa language due to the need to liaise with Bahasa-speaking stakeholders in the head office
