The role will require the candidate to revaluate and update the fixed asset ledger. The candidate should have a local government experience and technical accounting skills.

Client Details

The client is a local government organisation based in London. They use SAP/ Integra finance and reporting systems.

Description

The main duties of the Local government experienced Accountant role are:

  • General Fund including Comprehensive Income & Expenditure and Movements in Reserves
  • Balance sheet

  • Collection Fund

  • Treasury management, banking and cash flow management

  • Capital programme and capital accounting, including determination of resources and appropriate sources of finance

  • Asset accounting

  • Pensions accounting

  • Housing stock valuation

  • Taxation (VAT etc.)

Profile

The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Local Government accounting experience
  • Fixed Assets experience
  • A good level of excel
  • Strong technical accounting experience
  • A good work ethic and a positive attitude

Job Offer

The candidate will be offered £35ph and a possible permanent opportunity in a growing organisation. This is a long term interim contract with chance for progression.
