Assistant Accountant (Credit Control) job located between Newmarket & Bury St Edmunds , Suffolk
Your new company
Our client has experienced impressive growth over recent years and has exciting expansion plans for this year and therefore is seeking to expand their finance department at their site located between Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role in the sales ledger and credit control function, with duties including payment allocation, query investigation and resolution, chasing outstanding invoices for payment and debtor reporting. Alongside this you will support with additional tasks including posting journals, reconciliations, assisting with month end process and reporting, financial analysis and adhoc finance duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have sales ledger and credit control experience alongside confident IT skills. Experience of assisting with month end processes and reporting and analysis would be beneficial. A positive and proactive approach will be key as will strong communication skills. Our client is open to individuals with the above experience who are looking for the next step in their career and studying for a professional accountancy qualification or candidates with proven experience in a role of this nature.
