great opportunity has arisen in Liverpool City Centre within our Finance department for an Assistant Accountant to join the Financial Management team. This role offers the opportunity to progress and develop and provides exposure to Europe and Ireland. Ideal for someone who would like to gain further experience in their career. The role will involve assisting in the gathering, validating and reporting of financial information, ensuring that the reports are accurate and produced on time to the required internal and/or external standards. You will operate best in class operational effectiveness, process efficiency and consistent high standards of data accuracy and work to deadlines. You will have strong stakeholder management skills to share insight in a clear and concise fashion. You will maintain a strong financial control culture and contribute to a wide variety of projects and initiatives. Additionally, you will work across a number of key deliverables within the Financial Management team. The Key deliverables are IFRS reporting, Solvency II reporting and regulatory reporting. This role is great for someone who is looking to progress and develop further within their role.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the delivery of high quality outputs in the most effective ways whilst ensuring your own personal and professional development * Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the information provided meets Internal and External Reporting requirements. * Working closely with other teams within the Finance CoE and other wider stakeholders * Managing internal finance and business stakeholders to ascertain and meet their requirements * Contributing to the preparation of internal and external reporting * Ensuring consistency, reliability and efficiency of information collection, validation and aggregation processes, across multiple internal and/or external sources * Participating in initiatives to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness and consistency through process, technology and/or people capability development
The individual
* Part/Qualified Accounting professional * Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting procedures and consistently achieve accurate, on time delivery * Finance: Professional Expertise * Effective and proportionate financial control * Understanding of IFRS, relevant law, regulation and/or listing requirements to ensure the UK accounting and reporting is compliant. * Consolidations experience * SAP experience.
