ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Project Manager at The Jamaica National Group. This position is responsible for the successful simultaneous implementation of multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity. The incumbent is directly accountable to the Project Sponsor for each project and is responsible for reporting project status to him/her as well as to the Senior Project Manager. JOB CATEGORY: Managerial KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that the ePMO obligations are carried out for the portfolio of projects assigned to him/her and his/her team, as outlined in the contracts for either 'Project Quarterbacking' or 'Project Facilitation'. Ensure efficient use of project resources and the management of project resource conflicts. Utilise effective project management techniques to help ensure the successful completion of projects Ensure that the ePMO obligations are carried out by him/her and his/her team for business analysis services as outlined in the contract for Business Analysis Services. Prepare and review requirements, specifications, use cases, high level business processes and recommended solutions Monitor project progress and risk while making appropriate interventions for maintaining projects on track. Ensure adherence to all international and best practice standards adopted by the organisation. Perform project audit and project recovery as required. Manage the identification and design of process changes related to strategic and non- strategic initiatives. Provide coaching and guidance on project management best practices, as required to other Departments and Subsidiaries. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Master's Degree in Business, Project Management, IT, Engineering or related discipline Project Management Training and Certification IT Certification or Training would be an asset PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Strong, proven analytical capability Good knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Understanding of the Internet, Intranets, Extranets Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products including: Visio, Word and PowerPoint Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude Interested applicants are being invited to forward an updated résumé and cover letter as one document Subject Line: "Project Manager" Attn: HR Business Partner Group Human Resource Development CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: MARCH 1, 2019 We thank all candidates for responding, however, only those short-listed will be contacted.
