My client a worldwide Manufacturing / Distribution company based in Wickford. Are currently looking to recruit for a newly appointed Financial Business Analyst to join their finance department. Established for nearly 50 years and they provide to the automotive, manufacturing, fire/safety and medical industries.
The role consists of two main elements
To accumulate and process the financial information to report to the Board of Directors and the US holding company, and to have overall responsibility of the local accounts team. To recommend and implement methods for increasing the company’s performance by analysing the business model and finances and use the findings to suggest improvements from budget to operations.

£40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum (Depending on experience)

Main duties and responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the administration of the company, the payment of suppliers and the IT systems
- Perform Financial Analysis and consolidation to the company’s headquarter
- Preparation of the annual budget and the periodic forecasts
- Analyse the business performance, communicate the results and present business recommendations to the management of the company
- Participate in projects, customer tenders and pricing queries
- Preparing and submitting the VAT return and carry out bank, stock and sales invoice reconciliations
- Adhere to the Bank audit and Inland Revenue requirements and liaison with external agencies (bank, accountant, payroll, subcontractor, leasing company)
- Management of the payroll information
Skills and Experience required
- Professional business background (preferably distribution or services) with financial and business analysis experience
- Management Accountant qualification or similar financial degree/masters with showing knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Good knowledge of tax, intercompany transactions and legal
- Demonstrating proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. MS NAV) and MS Office programs
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to manage large data manipulation
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent communication, planning and reporting skills
- Good attention to detail
