Client Details

Our client, a forward-thinking accountancy firm based near Royston, (on the borders of South Cambs and North Herts), is looking for an accounts technician to join their small but growing team.

Our client has embraced modern methods of working with clients, putting them at the heart of everything they do; preparing them for making tax digital; providing them with flexible, mobile ways of running their businesses.

As such, I am looking to speak with experienced accountants who are ready for the next steps in their careers to join and really push the team on

Description

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns - mainly using Xero

• Preparation of annual accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships and small Limited Companies

• Preparation of business and personal tax computations

• Supporting clients with their day to day queries in Xero

• Helping support and train clients as they adopt new software as they transition from manual systems to comply with MTD

• You will develop your own client portfolio and maintain regular communications with them, developing a strong relationship

Profile

• More than 2 years recent work in accountancy practice preparing accounts and tax returns

• Experience with Xero and Iris

• Ability to work using own initiative

• Be client focused and great client communicator

• Conscientious and willingness to learn and develop

Job Offer

• Salary: £25k - 30K (depending on experience)

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm - flexible working arrangements available
