You will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfillment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as being part of the Global Finance Shared Service (GBS) function.

This role is part of our GBS Operations team. GBS Operations in EMEIA is a team of 18 people who support the GBS pillars (O2C, P2P, R2R and Buy/Sell). The team has counterparts in three other GBS locations Austin, Singapore & Shanghai.

The R2R SME will focus on the Record to Report pillar but there will be a requirement to engage across all GBS pillars on projects and initiatives. Specifically, this role will look to be the face for R2R projects across the region.

Description

Responsible for the coordination of various finance projects (primarily R2R focused) and ownership of initiatives to deal with the increasing growth & expansion in Apple.

This role includes the responsibility for defining user requirements to assist the development of scalable compliant business solutions.

Partnering with EMEIA GBS pillars (O2C, P2P, R2R, Buy/Sell), GBS counterparts in other regions, Global Finance Projects (GFP), Operations (e.g. AOS, Retail, iTunes, Apple Care, Finished Goods & Facilities) and IS&T to ensure GBS projects are managed effectively and delivered on a timely basis.

Being the “Face of GBS” on projects by managing the project interactions on behalf of GBS and ensuring the GBS teams are kept fully updated on project status and issues. Ensure from a GBS perspective that solutions are compliant, efficient, scalable and automated.

Analysis and documentation of current processes with a view to standardisation, automation & elimination of inefficiencies.

Education & Experience

• Qualified accountant
