Credit Control / Finance Assistant

Are you an ambitious graduate/ finance assistant looking for an opportunity to get your foot in the door of a growing, forward thinking business who reward hard work?

Do you have strong communication skills, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team?

Do you have a background within finance and credit control or are you looking to pursue and build a career within the finance arena?

If you have answered yes to the above statements this role could be the ideal opportunity.

My client are a well-known progressive global PLC, which is constantly being innovative and keeping one step ahead of the competition. They are recruiting for a couple of opportunities based within their finance team. These roles sit in the centralised accountancy function and report directly to senior management so communication skills are key.

Key responsibilities include:-
  • Managing and controlling data, invoicing and debt for a portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Liaise with operations, new customers and the administration around new contracts and ensure the ongoing accuracy of invoices.
  • Communicate directly with customers via telephone, email and post to ensure that they pay within agreed contractual credit terms.
  • Manage invoice disputes and raise credit memos.
  • Recommend appropriate customer credit limits and review regularly.
  • Support the Management Accountants in their role to accurately report portfolio, management accounts and forecasts, including updating on aged debtors and any risks this may present.

This exciting role will suit individuals who already have some credit control exposure, maybe accounting knowledge through their AAT studies, or indeed our client will consider bright, articulate graduates who are looking for their first role in accounts. You will have good IT skills, in particular Excel.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career within a company that has a team working ethos and looks after their staff by developing their skills through training and experience. The successful Credit Controller will be rewarded with an excellent rate of pay and benefits.
