This role will form part of a team responsible for the Infrastructure business' financial reporting function, providing relevant, accurate and timely financial information at project and fund level. The responsibilities require a close working relationship with other team members, including the Portfolio Director, Portfolio Management team and Fund Management team.

Description

Preparation of financial reporting:

  • Preparation and/or review of cash books and accounting journals for quarterly management accounts and statutory accounts
  • Quarterly and year end close processes, including reconciliation of balance sheet items
  • Providing support for the preparation of quarterly reporting packs for the Board of Directors
  • Preparation and submission of VAT and other regulatory returns

Cash management and treasury:

  • Weekly updating of cash flow forecasts and identifying funding requirements, including drawdowns and repayments of the fund's debt facility
  • Invoice preparation and management
  • Assisting with the establishment of bank accounts in line with business policy
  • Executing FX hedging in line with fund policy
  • Liaising with banks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Incorporation of new companies
  • Working with the Fund Manager, Portfolio Director and wider InfraRed business to identify efficiencies and process improvements

Profile

  • Technical accounting knowledge: University educated or AAT qualified
  • Proven bookkeeping capability - exposure to debits and credit
  • Early on in your ACCA, CIMA or equivalent studies
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of SUN GL or equivalent
  • Organised, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills / flexible 'can do' approach
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
