Finance & Payroll Assistant, Temporary to Permanent, York, £21 - 24,000
Your new company
You will be working for a healthcare organisation based just outside York centre.
Your new role
You will be responsible for supporting the payroll co-ordinator to ensure the processing of payroll related payments including pay related payments and deductions, processing payroll journals, checking and reconciliations. Dealing with pay related enquiries from both internal and external sources. Assisting with month end processes including collection of service information, providing other monthly reporting and analysis as needed and with payroll year-end and statutory returns. Reconciliation and maintenance of pension scheme payments. To support the Financial controller dealing with sales and purchase ledger query, recording purchase invoices and preparation of sales invoices into the financial system. Recording cash and visa payments into the financial system, review requests for submission for processing. Assisting in the production and posting of month end journals and in analysis and balance sheet reconciliation. There may also be some additional tasks to support the wider finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of volume processing of data within an accounts or finance system, ideally Sage 200 or Sage 50 payroll with good working knowledge of Excel including Vlookup. You will have detailed experience and knowledge of payroll processing, HMRC regulations and payments relating to payroll.
