Purchase Ledger Clerk vacancy for a business that has restructured, paying up to £25,000 per annum, with free parking and working hours of 8.30-5pm

Description

Purchase ledger Invoice processing in multiple currencies - circa 300 invoices per week

Dealing with Purchase orders

Manual entry into the sage system

Check invoices against goods received notes / delivery notes

Check VAT calculation on invoices

Matching, batching and coding invoices

Obtain payment approvals

Payments - complete weekly cheque and BACS runs for suppliers

Handle supplier queries

Prepare purchase ledger accrual schedule for all suppliers

Petty cash payments

Coding and processing petty cash

Monthly reconciliation of petty cash to nominal ledger

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a busy accounts payable role
  • Be happy to stay in an accounts payable role for 2-3 years before progressing further
  • Be studying AAT or want to study AAT
  • Have experience of dealing with suppliers
  • Have experience of the sage system (desirable not essential)
