About The Role
Role Location: Sydney
Role Type: Permanent Full time
Your role is responsible for the management of tax risk for the ANZ Wealth business and the provision of specialist tax advice to stakeholders within ANZ’s low risk tax profile.
This includes partnering with Finance, Business Units, external partners and ANZ Group Tax members to provide technical and specialist advice relating to income tax matters within the ANZ Wealth business. Your role requires specialist knowledge of income tax across a number of different entity structures including companies, managed funds (specifically AMITs), bare trusts and superannuation funds (both unitised and wrap).
You will also be required to work closely with Business Units and Finance, extensive stakeholder management and liaising with external government bodies and advisors to align ANZs commercial interests with ANZs tax values and culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -
- Proven years of income tax experience in the funds management sector of a big 4 chartered firm or large corporate
- Strong awareness of tax accounting principles as they relate to managed funds (AMITs) and superannuation funds
- Excellent communication skills with ability to persuade, influence and build rapport to effectively impart specialist knowledge.
- Strong income tax technical knowledge as they relate to managed funds (AMITs), bare trusts, and superannuation funds including both unitised and wrap funds.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to understand commercial drivers. Ability to build and maintain a network of contacts and build trust and credibility with stakeholders and customers
- Qualifications in Finance or Accounting
