Critical tasks
- Drive best practice in statutory reporting for both group and subsidiary accounts.
- Monthly Consolidation and Compilation support in –
- Preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance sheet, Cash flow
- Monthly Closing of books and review of all closing related activities.
- Preparing reports as per Group reporting policies
- Preparing analytics for P&L and Balance sheet on a monthly basis.
- Diagnosing issues for any variance and follow up with stakeholders for closure
- Ensuring all internal controls are in place and keep proper documentation
- Assisting in preparation of Management Discussion and Analysis
- Board Presentation: Preparation of monthly presentation.
- Financial Planning - Active participation on annual budget and forecasting
- Responsible for Managing group compliances:
- -Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns & their filings to HMRC.
- Preparation of Annual accounts & Corporation tax returns
- Filing of Accounts & CT600 to Companies House & HMRC
- Preparation of cross-referenced working paper file (physical/scanned)
- Execute and work on Financial Due Diligence covering all major areas of focus, Analysing the financial information provided.
- Building and analyzing the financial model, schedule book, Databook with information provided
- Review and Analyse historical financial and operating results of companies, explain business trends and identify risks.
Professional profile & Educational background:
- ACCA (UK) preferably with a large firm although not entirely necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills
- Financial accounting experience through their first line job role.
- A track record of producing good quality accurate work.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Good Excel knowledge
- Keen for a challenge in a hard working environment.
- Ability to analyse detailed information.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to challenge when necessary.
