Red Oak Technology is seeking a Business Analyst for our client located in San Jose, CA for a Contract position. Must be local candidate due to onsite interviews Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of P2P processes and the key metrics that measure business performance. Query data from internal systems using Tableau and other data mining tools to consistently analyze business performance, derive insights, identify and monitor key trends, and answer key business questions for senior management and executives. Use data to analyze business problems and make insights and recommendations to improve the process and eliminate the problems. Use data to identify where automation can improve customer experience as well as reduce unwanted behavior. Efficiently and accurately prepare data for analysis, perform extensive QA of data to maintain quality control of final deliverables, and work with data teams to close potential data issues. Create reports and data visualizations to support analyses that explain key business trends and drivers. Proactively identify business improvement opportunities through systematic and rigorous analysis. Present to stakeholders, clearly communicating strategic findings and recommendations Presentation of complex subject matter in a clear and concise matter, separate the signal from the noise Qualifications Tableau development is critical A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or 4+ years of related experience with a high school degree or GED. Strong business acumen with critical thinking and analysis skills and the ability to use data and metrics to back up business cases, planning, and decisions. High attention to detail, passion for continuous improvement, and operational excellence and commitment to deliver outstanding results. Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. Self–motivated and directed individual, strong team player, and problem–solver. Effective communication and alignment with stakeholders including peers, technical resources, and senior executives, using strong written and verbal communication skills. A desire to experiment with, explore, and organize data to deliver meaningful business narratives. Prior work experience on an analytics team in a fast–paced business environment. Ability to interpret and analyze datasets and create analytic reports. Highly skilled in Excel (pivot tables, functions, statistics). Experience with SQL coding and data warehouse tables is a plus. ldquoAssociate Qualifiedrdquo certification in Tableau Experience in preparing PowerPoint presentations Understanding of relational databases and data warehouse architecture is a plus.
