At Lex Consultancy we are currently recruiting on behalf of a global investment and wealth solutions provider who are going through a period of significant growth at this time. They have an opportunity available for a Solvency II/Regulatory & Statutory Lead to become a key member of their reporting team. The purpose of this position will be the production of timely and accurate Quantitative and Qualitative Solvency II reporting to the CBI as well as monitoring and implementing Regulatory and Statutory change in conjunction with the business and other support functions (Actuarial, Risk, IT, Business Change, Compliance, and Investments). The following responsibilities will apply: •Responsible for the preparation of Solvency II & Statutory reports in conjunction with the Head of Finance Statutory & Regulatory reporting and the dedicated insurance company Financial Controllers •Coordinate the preparation of Quarterly Solo QRTs for submission to the CBI and provide relevant commentary for Board/Audit Committee •Support line management in ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the Solvency II Directive •Work with the Finance and Actuarial teams in providing technical guidance to the business for any SII, Regulatory or Statutory changes •Maintain the regulatory reporting timetables, ensuring local operations requirements are integrated with the LCCG Group reporting processes •Review of audit files and supportive workings for interim and full year regulatory audit reviews provided to the External and Internal Auditors •Act as the Finance SME for all Regulatory & Statutory changes •Understanding of the wider business implications of any statutory/regulatory changes •Ability to build and develop professional and effective relationships and to work with all areas across the business to meet our reporting obligations •Take personal responsibility for delivery of quality, timely, accurate, and meaningful financial data. •Plan, prepare, and deliver the Regulatory/Statutory timetable in conjunction with the Head of Finance Statutory & Regulatory Reporting, and Group CFO. •Build and maintain internal and external business relationships to ensure the effective and successful delivery of the annual external audit process for both Statutory & Regulatory Reporting. •Undertakes project work in addition to operational responsibilities as the business need arises, •Ensure effective communication between the Finance team, support functions and business •Evaluate and understand the interdependencies which the Finance area will have with all providers of data utilised in the planning and forecasting cycles •Monitoring of developments in accounting standards and implementation of changes to policies, processes, and controls to ensure continued compliance with accounting standards and other relevant reporting guidelines •Monitoring of core controls such as balance sheet reconciliations across the Insurance entities to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information. •Play a supporting role in ensuring Legal entity oversight and governance Interested applicants will meet the following requirements: •Qualified accountant with relevant Solvency II reporting experience •Proven report writing skills, with attention to detail and an ability to keep focused on core objectives •Ideally, experience working with financial systems, including SAP FICO (highly desirable) or Oracle (not essential but beneficial) •Proven ability to take ownership and deliver to key milestone deadlines •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written •Excellent analytical and problem solving ability •Must be highly motivated, with an ability to identify and adapt to changing stakeholder needs in a dynamic business environment •An awareness of the need for effective financial controls throughout all stages of a business process •Demonstrate a positive motivated attitude •Excellent problem solving skills •Able to balance the conflicting needs of others to deliver the best possible outcome with the ability to escalate decision making as required If you are interested in this opportunity, please do not delay in sending a acopy of your cv for immediate review to Laura Craughwell at Lex Consultancy via the enclosed link.
