What will I be doing?
  • A variety of tax projects, including preparation of business and individual tax returns, tax planning, and research.
  • A variety of financial reporting projects, including financial statement audits, internal controls system reviews, and accounting assistance.
  • Examining, reconciling and analyzing financial information such as balance sheets, fixed asset ledger, income statements, and monthly/quarterly operating results.
  • Identifying accounting, business and tax issues/opportunities and developing solutions/recommendations.
  • Clearly communicating recommendations verbally and in writing.
  • Building client relationships.
  • Handling special projects as needed.
What skills and knowledge should I have?
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Self–starter and successful in a team–oriented setting.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and audit theory, tax and accounting practices.
  • Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple client engagements, multi–task and meet deadlines.
  • Solid PC skills, including Microsoft Windows, Office applications and accounting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including ability to simplify and communicate complex business information.
  • Must have an undergraduate college degree.
  • CPA or CPA candidate eligibility highly desirable.
