As a result of the impending retirement of our current Head of Financial Services, an opportunity has arisen to become the Company's new Head of Financial Services & Financial Controller.

The Company is a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) which provides a range of services to South Holland and East Lindsey District Council, including Financial Services, HR, ICT, Customer Contact, Revenues & Benefits and Business Support.

This role arises at an exciting time for the Company, as it completes the initial 10 year contract and has secured a new 10 year contract with its client Councils and looks towards future opportunities and transformation.

The role forms part of the Company Senior Leadership Team and with responsibility as the Company Financial Controller, you will be the Responsible Financial Officer (RFO), reporting to the Head of CPBS and its Board of Directors.

You need to be fully qualified to CCAB level (CIPFA/CIMA) or equivalent with significant experience of leading and managing within a Financial Services role, with a strong focus on service delivery and performance. Ideally, you will have some local government experience/background.

Assessment and Selection process will involve.

  1. Submission of CV – from the 8th of February to 28th of February

  2. Personality profiling exercise undertaken by an external company prior to interview

  3. Interview process will involve;

  • Finance related 'intray' exercise
  • 10 min power–point presentation to panel (subject will be notified in advance)
  • Competency based interview – 45 mins
