An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high growth, Private Equity backed sports retail business. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious part-qualified Management Accountant to get stuck in this fast-paced environment with lots of exposure to senior management. This reputable business is around £60m t/o and is growing rapidly in the UK and US, its e-commerce arm is especially taking off. You will take real ownership of your work and have an Assistant Management Accountant Directly reporting into you. This role is initially for 3 months with the possibility to be extended.

The role:
  • You will take ownership of preparing the P&L reports, working with the Balance Sheet Management Accountant to create accruals.
  • After Month End close, providing analysis of cost centres’ spending and identifying where costs can be saved.
  • Prepare sales reconciliations for all channels and investigate cash differences, you will be the main point of contact for any store queries regarding till and customer queries.
  • Ownership of production of monthly Management Accounts.
  • Oversee turnover reporting figures and ensure these are delivered to the required landlords within the specified timeframe
  • Oversee weekly sales reporting on Mondays and Fridays as needed by the business
  • Assist Retail team with investigating potential fraud/theft within stores
  • Ad hoc project work

The Requirements:
  • Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-past paced environment, taking initiative when needed to be a real value add to the business.
  • Experience using Sage 200 (this is not essential)
  • The ability to start immediately (1 week NP max)
