A new opportunity has arisen to be an interim Management Accountant for a world leading academic institution, located in central London.
This key accounting post will be on an initial 12 month interim basis and entails working alongside the organisation’s Head of Financial Operations to create management accounts whilst also handling the budgeting and forecasting of multiple departments within the institute.
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows;

- To produce accurate and timely consolidated management accounts.
- Advice budget holders on routine accounting matters as required.
- Assist the Head of Financial Operations in a range of duties, including; budgeting, year end accounts and forecasting.
- Handling the organisations VAT returns.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors when required.
- Maintain the nominal ledger to ensure all transactions are correct whilst insuring that the establishment complies within their financial regulations.
- To oversee the maintenance of the monthly payroll journal.
Key person specification;
- CCAB part qualification is required.
- High levels of IT skills with a knowledge of computer based accounting systems, with a preference for Sage 200.
- Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to work to specific deadlines.
- Experienced at audit preparation and using a computer accounts system within the education sector.
- Adaptability to overcome any potential issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Strong communication abilities combined with the confidence to present new ideas to senior members of the institute.
