Based in the Central London office of this international accountancy firm, the Outsourcing team provides clients with the full range of accounting and back office services, including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, management accounting, VAT compliance, forecasting and budgeting and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting matters.

Description

The purpose of this role is to act as a supervisor within the Outsourcing team, working with predominantly real estate and construction clients, typically some of the larger clients within the Outsourcing portfolio.

Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients

* Maintain and build relationships with clients and ensure that all communications are conducted in a professional manner

* Ensure that clients' accounting systems and records are up to date and technically accurate and delivered to agreed timetables

* Assist clients with ad hoc questions in relation to financial matters including the interpretation of results, and any financial resources implications

* Provide technical support on accounting matters to the rest of the team

* Train the junior members of the team to ensure that they are up to date with key matters

* Delegate work, where appropriate to junior members of the team to ensure that they are able to develop in their role

* Resource planning to ensure that we can service client needs and meet the agreed deadlines

* Be responsible for development of junior team members

* Ensure that work is being performed by team members within the allotted time budgets

* Responsibility for drafting bills for approval

* WIP management

* Consider the services supplied for clients and identify any gaps where additional services may be required

* Assist with the generation of new business including preparation of fee quotes

* Prepare management accounts which are technically accurate

* Prepare and review annual financial statements (including consolidated) under UK GAAP and IFRS, where appropriate, which are technically accurate

* Prepare VAT returns for standard rated clients

* Review work performed by junior members of the team

* Assist with the preparation of budgets, cash flows and forecasts

* Liaise with other areas of the business Demonstrate a good base knowledge of corporation tax, , VAT, PAYE, company secretarial procedures and applications

* Perform a continual review of client systems and processes in order to add value

* Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems and have a good understanding of cloud systems

Profile

Requirements

* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

* Solid accounting knowledge with previous experience within accounts preparation and outsourced accounting

* Property experience is desirable

* A basic knowledge of international and trade practices, including foreign currency, VAT and employment

* Good knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS (basic)

* Competent using MS Office with good general IT skills including use of all standard in-house packages

* Proficient in use of MS Excel

* Proficient in use of accounting software packages (Cloud solutions preferable)

* Proficient in use of accounts preparation packages

Job Offer

£48,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
