FINANCE DIRECTOR - EDINBURGH

Change Recruitment Group have been retained by an Edinburgh based SME in their search for a Finance Director. The organisation have gone through a period of considerable investment, growth and change over the last couple of years. The Group has set out its strategic growth plans for the next 3yrs which will deliver a forecasted turnover in excess of £30m.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to be involved in a fast growing business. This is a role identified due to the growth and plans for the business, tailored to a commercially astute / minded individual who comes from a strong track record of delivering optimum financial performance across a Group of companies.

Summary of key accountabilities and responsibilities:

· Lead and develop a Finance team of 9
· Overall control of the Group’s accounting function, monthly management reporting and financial controls
· Work with each business unit and budget holder to manage the annual budget process
· Challenge and evaluate business unit submissions
· Understand and review business profit forecasts, challenging the business on forecast assumptions and provide re-forecasts to the CEO
· Oversee the Group’s weekly, monthly and annual cash management
· Responsible for the Group’s secretarial duties for all the Group’s legal entities
· Ensure the Group’s financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
· Maintenance of appropriate insurance arrangements for the Group
· Overall responsibility for the audit of all legal requirements across the Group
· Ensure the Group has an optimal taxation structure for CT and VAT
· Presenting and driving a high level of data analysis, supporting the Group’s growth and development plans

As a member of the Board, you will report to the CEO, with regular interaction with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the Group, both internally and externally.

In order to be deemed suitable and be considered for the role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

· Fully Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA) - minimum of 7yrs PQE
· Hold considerable experience of leading a multifunction Finance team
· Experience working for a similar sized business / Group
· Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
· Will gain immediate respect from peers and seniors
· Extensive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning background
· Come from a strong Group background
