Commercial Finance Business Partner (Commercial Accountant)

Chase and Holland are excited to be working with a well-known business in Gainsborough to assist in the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner to join their team. As the Finance Business Partner, you will need to be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, self-motivated and determined to drive the business forward. You will also have an interest in the analytical side of accounts and be able to add value in a commercial sense.

This role is focused on improving the collection of data, enhancing the existing processes within the Groups commercial entities and providing dynamic reporting for management information. You will have an important part to play in keeping the companies finances on track.

As a Finance Business Partner, a typical day might include:

Setting budgets and financial forecasts for commercial entities
Contributing towards the formulation of new investment opportunities, including financial appraisal of the proposals, risk assessment, and exit strategy formulation
Managing accounting transactions arising from commercial activities, provide management reports based on these to drive effective decision making
Maintaining relationships with commercial partners
Working cooperatively with members of the finance team to contribute to year end processes for commercial entities within the Group
Providing effective leadership support and guidance to finance trainees
Taking lead responsibility for commercial entity tax returns and supporting accounting entries

To apply you must:

Have experience driving and implementing change
Be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
Be hard-working, driven, and resilient

Good communication skills are essential to this role, as you will be dealing with various teams throughout the company as well as external businesses. Due to the high volume and intricacy of the work, they are keen to find a candidate who takes initiative in their work, has a high attention to detail and can work to tight deadlines.
