Management Accountant

Our client is a large Deeside based distribution company with customers globally. Employing 500 staff with a turnover of £120m. They have a fantastic opportunity for a creative, motivated and Qualified Management Accountant, who has the pedigree to succeed in an ever-progressive company. This offers great potential as the role will progress into the Financial Controllers position. The initial focus of the role will be to provide support to the Financial Controller in the production of the Year and Month-end figures. Duties: Preparation of Monthly Management accountsPreparation and Distribution of Month-end PackAssisting FC with Budgets and ForecastsAssisting FC with Year-end AuditsAttending Senior Operations MeetingsAssist FC in preparation of Board Reports and analysisQuarterly VAT ReturnsBi-Monthly Closure of the ledgers at Month-endManagement of a small teamTo fully produce the Accounts for a "Group Company" and to help assist in the year-end audit The ideal candidate: Qualified ideally in CIMA (ACCA or ACA will be considered)At least 3 years' experience in a "Private Sector" finance departmentPrevious experience in "Month-end" and "Year-end" related WorkPrevious experience of management a teamExperience of SAGE accounting software would be an advantageGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel packageAble to use initiative and work to deadlinesMust be ambitious and want to develop in to an Financial Controller of a large organisation Salary £40k - £45k depending on experience + Bonus Please contact Nicola Forshaw for more information
