This well established accountancy practice have recently instructed Reed Finance to seek a highly professional Audit Senior.
You will take responsibility for the Audit process planning, directing and completion of audits, supervise small teams research and analyse financial statements.
The role split is 60% Audit and 40% Accounts so as much as Audit is the focus, the right candidate will have a varied background and strong previous Accounts experience in Practice. You would produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead client audit engagements (planning, directing and completion of audits)
• Supervise small teams
• Research and analyse financial statements and audit related issues
• Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations
• Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business
• Obtain a thorough understanding of HAT methodology
• Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met
• Sign off audit sections, address any issues and complete files before passing on to relevant managers
• Draft client letters
• Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements
SKILL & EXPERIENCE
Essential
• ACA/ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of audit experience in an accountancy practice
• Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, corporation tax, VAT and P11Ds
• Working knowledge of integrated accounts production and paperless audit software
• Demonstrable experience of supervising other and delegation of work
