Financial Reporting Consultant

Our client is the gold standard for technology consultancy in Ireland and, due to exciting growth, they are recruiting for a Financial Reporting Consultant. This role sits at the point where finance, systems and communication converge and, as a result, the ideal candidate will thrive in a people-facing environment where he/she can act in a business partner capacity by liaising with senior stakeholders across all disciplines and divisions. Key clients include well-known Plcs and multinationals. You will be a part or fully qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial/management accounts and, ideally, have previous systems implementation/migration experience. Responsibilities: Defining and scoping of proposed reporting solutions for clients/prospects Preparation of PreSales ‘demos’ and prototypes Consultant role during implementations - reporting to the Project Manager System Configuration Data migration Report writing Solution testing Liaise with technical consultants in the deployment of the solutions Prepare and provide end-user training to client personnel Provision of on-going support to clients post Go Live Requirements: Degree in Business, Accounting, MIS or equivalent Professional accounting qualification or part-qualification Experience delivering financial reporting Strong Excel skills required Experience of a financial reporting solution as an end user a distinct advantage Good knowledge of financial and management reporting Proven financial acumen - achieved either through proven experience as a finance professional (e.g. Management Accountant/Controller position) or Practical experience as a consultant implementing similar solutions Self-motivated and capable of working alone to strict deadlines and also working as a member of a team Excellent communication skills are a must
