Accountant The ideal candidate will play a key role within the accounting function and will be responsible for preparing the monthly financials and assisting with the review of the overall company's financial performance. Additionally, the ideal candidate is expected to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial information and provide forecasting, budgeting and operational support. The successful candidate will be required to: Prepare and review Monthly management accounts and analysis of actual versus budgeted monthly financial results within strict timelines for appraisal by the CFO. Review and approve Inventory, AR, AP, Intercompany and other such Reconciliations. Prepare audit schedules on a monthly basis and ensure year end audits are completed within the stipulated deadlines. Liaises with auditors for efficient completion of year end audit. Prepare monthly and year end statutory returns. Assist in schedules and information for the preparation of the annual budget. Review of accounting procedures and internal controls on a routine basis, with appropriate recommendations. Provide recommendations for the effective management of the cashflows of the company. Identifies control gaps, develops and implements appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies Any other duties that may be required by the CFO, Group CEO and Company Directors from time to time. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or completed or actively pursuing ACCA Level 2 Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar capacity with solid knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation and General Ledger Accounting for Financial Reporting. Have a working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications especially Excel, and a sound knowledge of accounting software. Experience using QuickBooks would be an asset.
