Reporting to the Area Finance Manager, with a strong day–to day relation with field operations Senior Operations Accountant will become the primary finance representation in districts.


* Responsible for timely and accurate closure of accounting records including but not limited to revenue and cost accruals.
* Detailed review of accounts, transitions, business functions and developing analytics for controller
* Consolidates monthly/quarterly reporting packages, ensuring presentation materials are in accordance with guidance from centralized FP&A.
* Prepare job profitability analysis.
* Work closely with supply chain to prepare accurate accruals on various cost lines.
* Provide daily support to district level operations and functions.
* Participate as required the execution of annual physical asset and inventory audits, ensuring all discrepancies were reported and corrected.
* Act as a primary extension of corporate internal controls, both accounting and operational.
* Coach, train and improve accounting finance understanding at district level.


* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas preferred.
* Ability to take initiative by independently identifying and driving to closure many business issues and prioritize among several priorities.
* Analytical thinker who understands how to use data to help Operations arrive at informed decisions.
* Experience with monthly and annual planning/forecasting and influencing various operational inputs to provide timely, accurate and reasonable forecast inputs.
* Must be strong in basic Excel functionality (lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
* Must be able to present detailed finance and process information in organized formats ready for managerial review. Strong communication skills are a must.
* Must be a self–starter who can independently identify and drive issues to resolution with guidance of the finance manager.
* Demonstrable team player who has the ability to interact across the company with various functions at various levels.
* Microsoft Dynamics experience helpful.
* Must be flexible with maximum of 20% travel
