Systems Accountant

Systems Accountant Based In Bedford, Bedfordshire, our client is an exciting and growing company looking for a qualified Accountant to join their team as Systems Accountant. This job would suit a qualified accountant who can take on the management of the run and fix activities of the finance systems within the business. The job will involve actively supporting relevant Finance change projects and objectives as well as ensuring work is carried out with accuracy and in a timely and effective manner. With plenty of interesting projects in the pipeline, this is a position where the individual should challenge the status quo to improve the processes and drive efficiencies in the function. Two of the largest overall projects will be to standardise the multi-office processes after multiple acquisitions across the business and assisting with the implementation of a new GL/ AP system. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with a proven have a track record of supporting a range of finance systems (ledgers and budgeting) as well as being customer focussed with the ability to plan for the future, prioritise effectively and respond well in a crisis situation. Experience with Coda and ideally Unit4 would be a distinct advantage but strong systems skills with developed IIT and previous experience as a Systems Accountant using a large ERP systems is essential. Evidence of good communication skills across the spectrum of stakeholders is essential as is the ability to innovate and advice line users when things go wrong or need improvements.
