Essential Duties Responsibilities The Accounting Officer is a part of the global accounting team and is responsible for accounting activities which includes but not limited to the following: Accounting Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to book, reconcile and report financials. Back-up month-end duties assigned to other Accounting Officers. Preparation of the monthly management accounts (including making journal entries, accruals, and prepayments) Responsibility for the monthly management accounting for several newly created entities if any. Responsibility to ensure all deadlines are met in each country (reporting/tax) Oversee monthly payroll payments and journal entries. Monthly review of each entity/branch PL and Balance Sheet Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting. Investigation and analysis of costs to resolve queries from the business Responsibility to take the lead in project work to improve overall financial processes/functions/reporting (Group) Reporting Analysis Assists in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including Budget vs. Actual variance reports. Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances. Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules. Coordinating with external advisors to ensure VAT and corporation tax compliance Audits Examinations Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit. Responsibility for financial statement preparation Systems Assist with testing and receive final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations. Provide inputs to improve the results from financial systems including controls. Banking/Cash Coordinate and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services. Monitor positive pay exceptions. Prepare period bank reconciliation statements Bank Liaison. Other Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies procedures. Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility. Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned. Desired Skills Knowledge of accounting ERP module, Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP will be an added advantage. Appreciation for data integrity, process definition and organizational alignment Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent prioritization and organizational skills. Must be able to manage up to their supervisor and / or manager by keeping them regularly informed on the status of workload, status of issues, and progress of related issue resolution. Must be able to work in a distributed team environment with multiple business partners across the globe Ability to influence teams to provide information necessary to meet job requirements Must demonstrate resourcefulness in finding solutions to problems Must be proactive and self-motivated. Team player with the ability to work independently. This position may require overtime during peak times. Required / Preferred Qualification Thorough understanding of IFRS and Indian Accounting Standards. Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles. Strong analytical and accounting skills Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and FRx or similar programs Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment. Excellent verbal, written communication in English and interpersonal skills. Enables clear and concise communication to all levels of management. Must demonstrate strong follow-through skills, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy on work output Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty. The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the company. CA or equivalent qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) qualified or Finalist Commercial experience ideally in a large multinational International experience, dealing with several locations and coordinating across time zones Experience in tax and financial statements compliance in international companies or large MNCs Experience if reviewing work of others and providing guidance to junior team members APPLY NOW
