GL Accountant - South Dublin

Role: GL Accountant/Newly Qualified Accountant Reporting to: Financial Controller Role Summary: My client, a technology multinational is currently recruiting a newly qualified accountant to join their team. Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the month end process for allocated entities 2. Responsible for the revenue recognition process 3. Preparation and input of journal entries including accruals, prepayments, cash and intercompany 4. Provision of internal monthly reporting under US GAAP to include balance sheet, income statement and supporting analysis schedules 5. Ensuring the completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations each month and the timely resolution of reconciling items 6. Ensuring intercompany balances are reconciled on a monthly basis 7. Completing month end reporting packs and reports for distribution 8. Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for a number of European entities Candidate: • Practice trained accountant - ACA/ ACCA • Previous exposure to US GAAP or Accounting in a Multinational environment would be an advantage • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Salary: €50k-55k depending on experience
