Payroll Manager

This job will require travel across the Uk to different offices to help implement new systems and process the payroll for over 500 employees. Travel cost will be covered in this role. You will be working alongside another payroll manager to help assist in the implantation of the new systems/

My client are a large telecommunications company in Chelmsford who are looking for an experienced payroll manager who has a experience in implementing new systems.

Description

They key responsibilities for this Payroll manager role are:

• Ensures payroll balance sheet accounts are cleared by requesting settlement of payroll deductions and reconciling and resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Hands on preparation and processing of the monthly UK payroll for over 500 employees, including salaried and hourly paid employees, overtime, allowances, new starter inputs, leavers, pension and HMRC reporting.
• Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
• Maintaining payroll information
• Pays employees by processing calculation of Gross to Net pay processing required deductions and managing the production of payslips and electronic transfers to bank accounts.
• Prepares a detailed reconciliation of Payroll data by site, seeks appropriate approvals, prepares and send settlement statements, prepares associated Payroll journals and post processing reports.
• Successful delivery of Payroll Services to the Payroll Manager and Payroll Assistant.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a Payroll professional who is used to working as a fixed term contractor, meeting strict deadlines with a minimum 5 years Payroll experience (CIPP or Qualified by Experience) and experience of transitioning Payroll role/function or Payroll systems implementation.
