Position: Management/Financial Accountant -To perform Financial Analyst roles (For a Large Manufacturing Group of Companies operating across multiple diversified industries)

  • Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Professional qualification in CPA-K/ACCA (finalist) or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office and financial management software eg SAP, Navision, Tally etc.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Well informed in current financial trends, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem solving skills, investigating problems and analytical skills.


Minimum 6 - 10 years of practical experience in the manufacturing industry or related field doing management and analysing the board reports in simplified language they can understand.

Hands on experience with statistical analysis & statistical packages.


Reporting to the Board, he/she will perform the following duties:-
  • Carry out feasibility study to analyze and evaluate economic, financial and profitability of the various projects. Advise the management and directors on financial strategy and its impact on company profitability.
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans embedded in the feasibility study.
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems and ensure adherence to financial procedures.
  • Review and advice on compliance and partnership documents including regulatory and loan agreements as well as accounting treatment associated with each document.
  • Research and report on financial regulations / legislation and factors influencing business performance, pricing and competitors.
  • Assess and advice on any strategic and financial changes that may affect the performance of a company or may lead to legal or financial loss.
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting process audits.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting financial data.
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws & guidelines
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the business positively.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on monthly/quarterly/ annual basis.
  • Oversee planning and execution of all external audits.
  • Regular site visits and assess the progress of the projects.
  • Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, public officials and consultants.

Salary: Kshs. 400,000 - 500,000 plus generous company benefits
