Commercial Finance Manager

Description

This role allows the successful candidate to be a part of a growing business, with financial, operational and commercial exposure. You will add value through supporting operational performance, delivering on short and long term initiatives.

You will be tasked with:

• Support and challenge the MD and operational leadership team

• Work with stakeholders to deliver against targets by providing accurate and insight analysis

• Manage and support the finance team, ensure accurate and timely delivery of invoices, journals etc.

• Maintain all necessary records and prepare all required period end allocations

• Prepare monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations

• Deliver process improvement and develop the finance systems

• Ensure delivery of cash flow forecasting, working capital management

• Be willing to support other areas of the business and ad hoc projects

Profile

An individual with an inquisitive approach, willing to challenge and communicate ideas to non-finance across the business and at all levels. You will be willing to be hands on, with the desire to immerse yourself in the operational side of the business. The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Proactive in developing and improving, to deliver against objectives

• Strong Business/Commercial acumen and influencing ability

• Advanced Excel skills

• Manufacturing, construction, logistics background beneficial
