A highly successful and growing firm of accountants, based in Weston Super Mare, Somerset, has a requirement for an experienced Senior Accountant, to join their close knit team. The requirement has arisen through a result of growth and expansion and you will have the chance to carve a key role here, progressing in your accountancy practice career.

This firm of accountants, based in Weston Super Mare, has experienced really positive, organic growth, over the last few years, with new clients arising through clients receiving good service with referrals. In order to plan for the future development of the firm, the director is looking to bring in the right experienced professional who can work closely with him and the wider management team, as a key addition. The firms clients are very varied across industry sectors and turnovers, to include a wide spectrum of sole traders, partnerships, but primarily ltd company, OMBs and SMEs. Alongside the compliance services provided across accounts, tax, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll etc, the firm has an added value and relationship building ethos, looking to partner their clients in the long term and help them achieve their plans and goals.

Description

Joining as a Senior Accountant, based working from the firms Weston Super Mare offices, you will carve a key role here, working closely with the management team and in particular with the director, becoming a right hand person, as you develop within this firm and role. You will have both a hands on role, with increasing supervisory/managerial scope, as you progress here, overseeing the delivery of accounting, tax and wider, general accountancy practice service provision to a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, taking on responsibility for a small portfolio, with the chance for involvement in project work, assisting the director. Profile

The key requirement here will be a demonstrable and significant career background, working within the accountancy practice sector, having gained a good initial training and grounding in hands on, accounts preparation, tax and other associated services eg bookkeeping, VAT, etc, for varied sole trade, partnerships and limited company clients. You will have gained this experience most likely within any of small, medium or large independent accounting firm background. You may have also worked within a larger Top 50, or Mid Tier, smaller business unit team and be looking to carve a more influential role, within a smaller firm environment perhaps. You may also be any of AAT qualified and experienced, or ACCA/ACA qualified, or equivalent and operating, at least, at Senior Accountant level.

Job Offer

£25000 - £32,000 dependent on the experience, background and level of the right individual, plus benefits.
