Bookkeeper - Dublin City Centre

Our client, a dynamic and exciting marketing company based in Dublin 2, is recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in book-keeping, VAT returns, payroll and credit control, monthly bank reconciliations and will be ambitious with the right attitude. Responsibilities: Prepares monthly management accounts Responsible for reconciling accounts to job bag direct expenses/accruals Ensures that all transactions are entered correctly into the accounting system from the source documents Prepares reports of client revenue Prepares monthly field payroll, download for payment and reconciliation of paid amounts to tax in and signed job sheets working alongside the external accountancy practice Prepares monthly salaries and organises payments for Head Office staff Prepares monthly revenue submissions Ensures quarterly VAT return is prepared and paid by the due date Manages VAT returns Co-ordinates VAT visits and inspections Monitors the daily bank positions Responsible for monthly bank reconciliation Supervises the work of the Account Managers to ensure purchase orders are correctly issued and within budget, posted on the Accounting system and signed off correctly Responsible for checking monthly expenses and credit card expenses Controlling of creditors and payments on a timely basis Supervises the work of the Account Managers to ensure sales invoice template is used & formula is correct, that invoices and PO from the clients match the job bag and that the invoice is posted on the accounting system Responsible for ensuring monthly sales correspond with WIP report Collection of accounts receivable from clients within the agreed credit terms Requirements: 100% Accuracy of financial reporting Management reporting - variances from budget identified and investigated Examples of positive influences on company profitability Application of financial information, commercial acumen and financial controls agency wide to improve company profitability Financial training of agency team members Efficient working systems Exposure to Zero accountancy software is beneficial but not essential
