SENEGAL | Volunteer Accountant for Global Healthcare Organisation | 2-3 Months

Unique opportunity for an adventurous accountant (ACCA - or equivalent) looking to gain international experience & build financial management capacity of this life saving work. (Fluent French is essential)

Based in Senegal’s vibrant capital Dakar, this well-known global healthcare organisation has been working with governments and local partners in a number of developing countries to increase access to and lower the cost of diagnostic testing and treatment for HIV/AIDS patients, and build in-country systems to provide lifesaving treatments.

Your Role

They are in the process of setting up a new country office in Senegal and are seeking an experienced yet independent and flexible pro bono accountant to establish their accounting & financial management systems, processes and controls. This will be an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience before transitioning into the not for profit sector.

You will be based in Dakar, known for its colourful markets and beautiful beaches. Additionally, in West Africa, Senegal is also known as the land of musical giants.

This consulting assignment is a great opportunity for an ambitious accountant, thinking about a career move to the international development sector, to gain extensive experience and practical insight in just a few months.
