Corporate Services – Accountancy Services. We are proud to be serving the city of Preston with our three key priorities of: Your Council, Your City and Fairness for You.

This month Preston was identified as the most improved UK city according to PwC's Good Growth for Cities index, highlighting the great progress we have made and are still making alongside partners in the city.

We are focused on achieving a sustainable budget whilst delivering on our key priorities. In particular, we have recently garnered increasing national attention for our focus on community wealth building, enhancing financial inclusion and supporting local businesses.

Against a background of austerity, we have single–mindedly focused on building the local economy and providing quality services to residents.

Preston City Council is committed to maximising its resources, and is dedicated to coaching and developing our employees. We are a family friendly employer, operating an excellent flexi–time scheme to support a healthy work/life balance.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious individual who will support the Council's agenda, working across a breadth of disciplines in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for providing financial advice to the City Treasurer (Section 151 officer), Senior Managers and Elected Members on Special Projects and new initiatives.

If you are an experienced CCAB qualified accountant looking for your next step and feel that you have the qualities that we are looking for then I would encourage you to apply for this position within our team.
