Job Description:
We are pleased to be partnering with an exciting, multi award–winning and fast–growing eCommerce business based in London. They are looking to bring on board an ambitious Finance Manager to assist in meeting the changing demands of the business and to have a hands–on role in growing out the finance team. The role offers massive opportunity to grow with the business.
The role:
The successful applicant will report into the Senior Finance Manager, working closely with the COO and having significant exposure to multiple teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of the entire month end process
- Assisting in all monthly reporting requirements and analysing trends to liaise with retail and commercial teams to understand what is driving the numbers
- Providing clear business oversight to founders and key investors through comprehensive management reporting
- Processing and analysing large volumes of revenue sales data to prepare them for monthly reporting, VAT returns and other purposes
- Being key in managing additional finance hires
- Bringing the monthly accounting processes in–house and training a future junior hire to take this on and reviewing their work
- Improving financial processes with international manufacturers, working alongside the Senior Finance Manager and COO to improve reporting data quality
- Full involvement with ERP system implementation to facilitate a smooth transition from the current month end processes and accounting system
The requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- 1–2 years' experience in an eCommerce/Manufacturing business preferable
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge
- Experience of ERP software – implementation experience a bonus
- Very strong with Excel and able to create advanced formula to analyse data sets
- Experience of monthly accounting processes and full reconciliation of all balance sheet items and control accounts, month end journals and payroll adjustments
- P&L, balance sheet, forecasting and cash flow experience preferred
- Understanding of eCommerce VAT for manufacturing/eCommerce businesses and preparation of VAT returns
- A smart, logical thinker that is obsessed with detail and who enjoys taking the initiative and ownership of tasks
- Interest in an entrepreneurial, fast–paced environment
- An interest in managing and coaching future hires
