Job Description:

We are looking for a Management Accountant who will be part of a growing and dynamic Finance team on the Food Services Whitbread contract based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, reporting to the Whitbread Senior Management Accountant. Our specialist team continues to grow to meet the requirements of this demanding and dynamic contract. We have an exciting and unique opportunity to join our innovative and award winning Food Services Team.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Completion of weekly internal & customer management accounts reporting packs
  • Present, challenge and review weekly results with operational management team across the UK wide Network
  • Production of weekly/monthly operational reports for the customer, support in the preparation of monthly rolling forecasts, ad hoc month end analysis work to support the Contract Financial Controller
  • Maintenance and creation of management reporting spreadsheets
  • Evaluate and prepare capital and lease investment proposals
  • Ad hoc analysis reviews with the customer
  • Produce costing models for contract projects and initiatives, provide financial support & guidance to the operational management team, as well as monthly balance sheet preparation and review
  • New business appraisal and evaluation support of existing customer renewals

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 5 years accounts experience
  • Working towards or have obtained a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA
  • Able to meet strict deadlines
  • A high degree of multi–tasking and time management will be imperative
  • Good communication skills to senior level are essential
  • Experience of using ACON or a similar accounting package would be a distinct advantage
  • An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
  • The role requires limited travel to other network sites across the UK and may involve the occasional overnight stay
