Ofgem is committed to making a positive difference for energy consumers through effective regulation of the market and close working with suppliers to ensure sustainable energy for consumers and businesses in the UK.

As network companies are monopoly businesses, Ofgem sets price controls that protect consumers and make sure that companies operate the network efficiently and sustainably. The performance–based framework that we use to set the controls is called RIIO and the latest set of price controls, RIIO2 will come into effect in 2021. The RIIO Finance team maintains the core of the RIIO price control processes through its ownership of the price control financial model and provides financial input into the development and operation of the different regulatory regimes designed to deliver critical offshore and onshore transmission projects. As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the development, maintenance and use of financial models and support the delivery of projects, such as RIIO Accounts, the annual Iteration Process (AIP) and contribute to the development of RIIO2. It's important work that will make a positive difference to consumers.

Systematic and analytical, you will contribute to the governance, modelling and data environment for the PCFM and other key financial models. Your passion for what we do will be underpinned by demonstrable financial modelling expertise gained in a regulatory, corporate or project finance environment. You'll also be comfortable working with financial, economic and accounting measures, including net present value concepts, and economic depreciation. Highly motivated and driven, you'll combine the ability to work on your own initiative with the interpersonal skills necessary to thrive in a close–knit team environment. We expect you'll also hold a degree–level qualification and have first–rate written and verbal communication skills.

Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:

?? Up to 30 days' annual leave
?? Excellent training and development opportunities
?? The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
