Michael Page is seeking an experienced, commercially-minded finance professional for a Head of Finance position in the heart of the Chichester countryside. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Executive Management Team, this is an exciting time to join the business at a time of growth and progression as they continue to roll out their 10-year strategic plan.

My client is a well-established, internationally-recognised and truly unique charitable organisation which has been in operation for well over five decades.


The Head of Finance role is key for the business, with responsibility for the management of the financial resources and oversight of business systems. My client is seeking someone who has strong financial management experience and the ability to develop and lead on robust finance structures, systems and processes across the whole organisation. A professional accounting qualification, experience of working at both an operational and strategic level and experience of motivating and managing a team are also essential. This role requires outstanding communication and management skills, with the ability to collaborate, build and influence relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders. You will be a strong leader who also enjoys being part of a team and ideally has experience of working through periods of change to achieve strategic and operational objectives.


  • Professional accounting qualification (fully qualified)
  • Previous experience of working at a leadership or senior management level in a finance role
  • Significant financial and costing management experience
  • Experience and knowledge of financial and business management information systems
  • Significant demonstrable experience in the production of management accounts, and the provision of financial advice to senior management
  • Experience of developing, reviewing and leading on finance structures, processes and policies
  • Experience of successfully leading a Finance team
  • Provision of management accounting/ business partnering advice to senior managers leading to business growth
  • Knowledge of governance and approvals structures and frameworks
  • Knowledge of health and safety and other statutory requirements
