Our client is looking to expand and develop their finance/accountancy team to support their growing business, and therefore have a new role for an enthusiastic, diligent and conscientious Assistant Accountant reporting into the Financial Controller. Working in a fast-paced environment they need someone with a keen eye for detail, great organisation skills and the ability to be flexible and to help out within a busy team.

Description
Core Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
- Invoicing all clients for permanent and contract roles in the timesheet portal and importing invoices raised in to the finance system
- Manage credit control and ensure timely payments of invoices, including forecasting receipts for cash flow forecasting
- Posting bank statements and completing daily bank reconciliations
- Providing cash flow forecast to senior management
- Managing all AP processing, paying staff expenses and maintaining the creditors ledger
- Processing company credit card statements
- Managing a weekly payroll of around 90 PAYE contractors and 20 limited company contractors, ensuring all candidates are on-boarded to the online payroll portal and payroll and paid salary and expenses in a timely manner
- Dealing with payroll queries from candidates and resolving problems from the timesheet portal
- Dealing with ad hoc queries coming in to the finance team
